IBC2009 Post Show

Where has the time gone? It’s been a month already and we are still very busy with the business that came in from the show. If you did not get a chance to visit us, below you’ll find a summary of what we had on show.

FSL IBC2009

The DigiSHOW SDIX5

This is a five channel broadcast play out server featuring HD/SD output on SDI with seamless back to back play out and cross channel synchronisation. The unit is a 4U chassis and comes with redundant PSU’s and RAID 5 for extra stability and performance.

The DigiSHOW SDIX range is ideally suited to studio and event applications where multiple channels of content have to be synchronised across multiple displays and looped seamlessly. One such application would be studio panoramic views or events such as trade shows.

As of IBC2009 Future Software are pleased to announce our first broadcaster to use the SDIX5, has taken two units to control their panoramic studio display and picture in picture source.

DigiSHOW Atom based Digital Signage

Our new DigiSHOW EDGE350 and ActiveSIGN Atom based players were on show and proved a very popular enquiry. Based on the Intel Atom processor and a quality graphics processor, we were able to demonstrate multi zone displays with video, flash and smooth ticker messages all controllable from a simple and easy to use web interface. In this form the DigiSHOW EDGE350 Atom makes a compelling option for first time adopter of digital signage technology and for those looking to start small and move up once they have gained experience.

We also demonstrated our “n-Sync” technology for synchronising digital signage displays across networks. Using four, although not limited to, DigiSHOW ActiveSIGN370 digital signage units we showed how video, stills and other content can be seamlessly synchronised across a network to produce visually attractive and sophisticated displays for digital signage.

Behind the scenes

Behind the scenes we were able to demonstrate the power of the Matrox Veos graphics extension product, being powered by a DigiSHOW solution to three screens that were well over 150m distance away, with perfect picture quality and original picture resolution. The power and flexibility of this product should not be underestimated when considering large building deployments..
