The DigiSHOW SDIX video playout server range, is the ideal solution for low cost, multi channel, high quality, video playout, designed specifically for the Broadcast and Events markets. By using industry standard computer components coupled with high quality video components, the DigiSHOW SDIX is able to provide a complete easy to use, maintain and upgrade solution. Additional features include seamless back-to-back playout and frame accurate synchronisation across multiple output channels.

Designed from the outset to be low cost, high quality product, the DigiSHOW SDIX range meets these challenges head on. Quality is in no doubt, with HD and SD output SDI options complemented with YUV and CVBS for premium performance. Storage capacity and reliability are also contributing factors to the success of the DigiSHOW SDIX with options from high capacity single disc storage to full redundant RAID storage discs with hours of capacity and reliable up times.

The range also includes upgrade paths from single channel Playout up to 5 channels of independent playout. Each channel can be treated as a single channel in isolation and controlled through an easy to use desktop interface.

Alternatively channels can be combined into a group where all channels can be initialised, started and remain running in synchronisation. This feature is ideal for multiple screens where content needs to be synchronised so that the images appear seamless across the displays. Such features have been extensively used in news studios for the "view out onto the world" and for events and exhibits at museums where a story needs to be told and followed over multiple screens or projectors that project onto curved domes.

To reduce the cost of ownership none of the DigiSHOW SDIX systems have encoding capability. All media can be prepared off site and transported easily to the DigiSHOW SDIX using memory keys, networks or DVD's. These features help to maintain compliance and quality control by having a single point of production. All the DigiSHOW SDIX units are rack mountable with options for built in control screen and keyboard, suitable for installations where rack space is a premium. All systems are controllable over network interface, and designed for easy deployment in "lights out" environments.
